Dictionary Entry:

A Runologist working for the Sacred Kingdom of Aquaria who has infiltrated the Kingdom of Airyglyph in order to gather information as a spy. Having learned of the importance of the peculiar technology owned by Fayt, she felt that Fayt is the person prophesied in ancient Aquarian texts, and decided to make contact with him regardless of any danger that might entail. The leader of the Secret Legion detachment of the personal guard unit that reports directly to Aquaria XXVII. This group mainly conducts intelligence gathering activities. A master of the art of fighting with short swords that have Runology instilled within her blades, she is said to be a top-class fighter within the kingdom, in spite of the fact that she has not yet finished her training. She is one of the citizens of the Sacred Kingdom of Aquaria who is most trusted by the Queen, and she travels the continent gathering information for the Queen who never leaves the court.

Young woman from Aquios who serves her country as a guard and covert agent. Treats two engineers from Greeton as VIPs for some reason. Often in the company of other young female soldiers with similar bobbed hairstyles. Seems to fluctuate between being happy and displeased with the two engineers.

The Crimson Blade that glitters at dawn. She’s a multi-talented character with excellent swordsmanship and combat technique. Her outfit is pretty racy…should she be fighting in clothes like that?

Videogame vs. Manga:

Appearance- In the videogame her outfit has loose sleeves while in the manga she doesn’t have any at all. Her gloves are fingerless in the game but in the manga they come up much higher and look more like evening gloves similar to Albel’s. Her scarf is much more fluffy and full in the manga while the game’s is thinner and resting above a breastplate. In the manga she is sometimes seen wearing a hooded cloak to better aid her spying. Physically her hair is much more spiky and her body altogether thinner and leaner in the manga.

Personality- One of the biggest differences in the manga is definitely the way she doesn’t hesitate to smack Fayt and Cliff around. She always seems to be punching or harming them in annoyance (mostly which Cliff is the brunt and cause of). Her innocence is played up dramatically and she doesn’t know how to behave around men properly outside of battle, especially if they are suggestive, causing her to blush rather frequently. In the game however she is much more serious and mature with not a naïve bone in her body.

Common Misconceptions:

Her Full Name is Nevelle – Nevelle is actually the name of her father. Though it is very likely that she was indeed named after him there is no mention of her full name being as such. Her name printed in the dictionary is Nel Zelpher. There are no other entries.

Leader of the Crimson Blades – She isn’t the leader of this organization but rather the leader of a group called The Secret Legion which is a division of the Crimson Blades.
